December 2021 - Taking our hives from the Far North to the Central Plateau

Big Moves | Big Trucks | Helicopters - It was all go!

A logistical challenge. Massive effort from the entire team to make this happen!

Each season once the honey flow is finished in the Far North we have been lucky enough to travel to the Central Plateau to try our luck there. It is a huge task to transport a few hundred bee hives that far long side our full beekeeping team, trucks, loaders and tractors and all the gear involved with getting our hives on helicopters and flown into remote bush.

This years fly in trip went great! We had one small hiccup with a truck breakdown at 4am on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere… But the team pulled together and got back on the road in no time.
